According to the literature put out by the SBHT committee the trail was not funded by Federal money, but by private donations. Yes the leg going south is much more challenging and by no means ADA accessible. I see able bodied people walking up the 11% grade every day. I think it is good we have both options. For those people that want a nice flat ride through the woods go North, for those that want more challenge go South. I hope that the SBHT committee continues to intermix ADA accessible segments with challenging ones so that the diversity of our riders is embraced.
