As a Wisconsin native, scientist, and pending Freemason I simply must contest these results! While you are correct in the fact that Michigan’s Leelanau County and lake shore is more beautiful than anything on this side of the pond, you conveniently missed mentioning Wisconsin’s Superbowl victories, Bon Iver, and prolific cranberry production. Think about it, cranberry antioxidants save lives & bring the world together. Just imagine not being able to have the international holiday of Thanksgiving. Well, you couldn’t without cranberries! Let that sink in… it would be pandemonium and the holiday season would lose its bookend meaning. The Kwanza season would spiral on forever. Yes, without Wisconsin cranberries in the world, we would have international conflicts, famine, locusts running rampant, weak slushi sales. It would be a gruesome world that would require 24 news cycles that would desensitize us to what really matters in the world. Health & happiness. Both of which cranberries will bring you. So the next time you want to think of us as a cheese,beer & sausage state – you might be right, but heck if we didn’t give you the typewriter… and cranberries doggone it. Cranberries!
