A oil and gas company from canada has been paid 2.5 billion dollars to develope wells in Gladwin County, Michigan by the Government of China. The plan is for 500 wells just in this county alone. I am a resident and have been offered crumbs to let this company take our minerals….specifically oil…..I feel like we are between a rock and a hard place when oil companies can force you to go into a pool if you do not sign a lease conteract….you are danged if you do and danged if you don’t…..it is as if you didn’t really own your property….a sort of eminent domain for minerals, the Government doesn’t really protect the property rights of its citizens but coddle the Oil companies….why are we allowing China to come in and take our oil? Will they then try to resell it to us or make others pay a premium for it…..Also, China is now looking to build a City in Michigan to house their people here….whats up with that? We already have an invasion of illegals in the south and now an invastion in the North……It doesn’t look good either way…The worse thing is the safety of our water…..and tourism is down the drain
