Another thought about John: I first met him years ago and was immediately struck by his obvious care for other people. He is an earnest man. He listens intently, and he certainly does not come across as a man who rises each day to see what he can deregulate. He has an honest and abiding concern for the land, air and water around us, and is genuinely focused on the well-being of his fellow citizens. The time has come to start putting people like John in office. We have already seen the devastating power of deregulation and we have also witnessed an entire political party which is willing to sell out our natural resources to corporate interests.
