There is more to do in Leelanau County than Traverse. Why do we want fast food restaurants in Leelanau? All those places do is make you fat! The thing we have in Leelanau are nice people, great views, and the best part of it all is that we don’t have a lot of traffic with people who are stupid drivers. We can do anything Traverse can do for fun but the difference is that our stuff is home made, like ice rinks, we make our own on the ice or downtown Suttons Bay and it’s cheaper and more fun because the community comes together to play and everyone that come you know personally. The guy who wrote this is a total city slicker because obviously he hasn’t really seen all of Leelanau County. You know what you can’t do in Traverse City? Hunt, Snowmobile, ATVing, real nature walking, ect… At least we can survive without TV, Video Games and Phones. You can shop in all towns in Leelanau because we have nice little stores with nice people who aren’t snotty when working. Out here we are all family and everyone knows everybody which makes everything more special. We have most of what Traverse has but it’s way smaller and means more to the communities. Who needs pools when you have a lake? We have real people who work hard for their money. So all in all, Leelanau is a way better place to be!
