Eric,

My friend, born and raised in Long Island, then in Florida moved to Michigan 3 years ago. Complete culture shock to say the least. I’m mentioning this because she shared this link on Facebook. Which, in turn, inspired me, a native of Northern Michigan, and family (lots and lots) living in Leelanau County, to read your post. The inspiration or better defined as “pure obsession”, to find these delightful delicacies, is like finding a needle in a haystack. I can be smack dab in the middle of 7 to 10 morals, yet never see them. Then, whoever is with me, usually my Dad, will see them 20 feet away. I swear, they play hide and seek, only with me:)

Your “Tips” are easy to follow. Your words paint a visual picture of nature’s gifts. Mushrooming hunting is my favorite hobby. I get more excited finding a single mushroom, than opening a present on my birthday in May.

My sincerest Thanks and Gratitude for your time writing this article. If you have any additional thoughts, I’d love to hear about them.

Respectfully,

Deb Kilinski-Sizeland

P.S. My dream career was Journalism and Broadcasting.
