So perceptively stated. Your words touched me deeply and brought tears to my eyes. I have always felt a spiritual connection with our forests and old-growth trees. I felt stunned and emotionally spent after experiencing that storm and witnessing the devastation of our beautiful landscape and so many of those gentle giants. I couldn’t quite put my finger on the “why”, but you found it and crafted the words that explain the feelings of such a great loss. Thank-you!
