Very interesting story. I would like to suggest that a follow-up story be done about the decendents of the original settlers. During the mid to late 1950’s Bill Mirgeler and my father, Dr. H H Handorf, who owned the two cottages on Sunset Drive immediately north of Dr. Day’ s log cabin, employed Julius to do spring cleanup. Julius and his kin lived on Wheeler Road up in the hills. I have always wondered what became of the clan. They were quite a group.
