I asked what the difference was between Pottery and Stoneware when a pottery instructor visited our store. She explained that Pottery is the more beautiful of the two, Stoneware is usually the ‘work horse’ in the kitchen as it is fired at a much higher temperature which makes it more durable. Our Stoneware is often referred to as pottery due to its great beauty!
