I also feel lucky to have been small part of the Sugarloaf family. Living south of Northport it was just a 20 minute trip to excellent skiing. After skiing there a few years and training as a first responder I joined the Ski Patrol making some great friends and thanks to the Patrol improved my skiing enough to work at the 2002 Olympics. I worked at the start gates of the Woman’s Downhill and Super G. Wonderful memories and friends all thanks to being a Sugarloafer. For me Sugarloaf turned those long winter months into my favorite time of the year!
