We need affordable housing so young people can move to the county. We need year round families to fill our schools with their children and to help our businesses survive through the winter. Right now only retired people or people investing in short term rentals seem to be able to buy homes here. The investors are taking much needed year round homes out of the market and using them for short term rentals. While a number of those may be okay people in communities need more neighbors who are living in their homes and who vote in the area and who care about the area in which they live from a perspective other than an investment perspective. And who wants to live in a county where all the people are over 55? I can say that now that I fall into that category lol. We need more age diversity. You are exactly right!
