I’m wondering about liability issues if a beach walker injures him or herself on someone’s lakefront property. I suppose it depends on whether the individual is at the waters edge or actually up on the landowners beach. Do the trespass laws nix possible law suits if someone goes up on the beach and trips over a lawn chair and hurts themselves? We have a large equine facility. Some people think it’s okay to bring their family unannounced to our property so their kids can pet the horses. We explain our liability insurance does not cover people who are not employees or board horses. The majority understand.
