I am sure this will be met with a good deal virtriol. If you have ever launched a boat there, you know how difficult it can be. Without dredging, larger boats will not be able to enter the river and get back upstream. I have mixed feelings about such measures, and am a believer in returning rivers to their more natural state, the word “more” being the operative term. As long as the Feds are working in this direction, how about more scrutiny of the antics that go on in the river from M-22 to the mouth? Many days in the summer the river resembles a theme park instead of a “more” natural environment.
