Excellent and very timely article. I would like to remind everyone who thinks this issue is black and white and just a matter of following the law that there is a lot more going on here. Our immigration system is in need of reform and it is virtually impossible for a immigrant to get a work permit. I heard the waiting list for a green card in Mexico is 120 years long! At the same time there are jobs here that locals just won’t do. We need compromise and understanding to forge a new immigration system that treats people with the respect they deserve.
