KayB, you’ve judged me wrong. I’ve only been going to Glen for 19 years, but I’ve admired this property all along. My question to Jon, was sincere.
Like others, I’ve dreamed of the possibilities for this place. It is right on M22 just north of town at the Crystal River crossing. You can’t head north towards Leland without seeing it. We restored an 1852 property left in such condition and brought it into a destination place featured in travel magazines. This place has even more potential. I believe it’s in the state’s ownership now (as many acres and properties on the M22 towards Leland). While the property will always be a beautiful asset, the original post writer’s intention was to say, the building won’t. Unmaintained, it will disintegrate, and that surprisingly fast once weather incursion is allowed.
