Comment on The Party Gets Ugly: Partisan ads turn sour in 101st State House race by Amanda Elliott, Campaign Manager

Hi John, Please feel free to view the campaign filing statements with the Secretary of State at https://cfrsearch.nictusa.com/. You can choose “candidate” under committee type, and then “Representative in State Legislator” for Office Sought, and then select the 101st District. The filing statements speak for themselves. The vast majority of Jack’s donations are from large, downstate and out of state donors while Kathy’s donations have come strictly from over 300 individuals and Unions representing hard working men and women in our state. While Kathy has contributed to her campaign, she is far from “bankrolling” herself.

Kathy will do exactly as you said – represent EVERY person in this district, those who vote for her and those who don’t. As a nurse, Kathy NEVER asked a patient – are you a Republican or a Democrat? You’ll also notice Kathy’s campaign signs (unlike our opponents) do not say Democrat – not because Kathy is not proud to be a Democrat, but because as your representative, she will represent the concerns of ALL people.

Our campaign slogan is “people first for the 101st” because we believe that that’s how government should work – for the people, by the people, of the people. It is time we put working families before the profits of greedy corporations.

John, please call or email if you’d like to talk more. I’m glad to do so – (231) 313-8002 or campaign.kathy@gmail.com.
