I am encouraged with the direction Katofsky is taking and as much as I would love to see skiing return to the greatest hill in the lower Peninsula, I recognize it’s a business decision. The terrain offers so many options with the beauty from the “top of the loaf”. Katofsky has made good on his plan to restore a Romulus hotel and soon the St. Clair Inn. Having stayed at the Inn before its closure, I can only say he has done a remarkable job with the new facility. It’ll be a treasure along the St. Clair River waterway. I look forward to the next step in the process with a feeling of optimism.
