This is so inspiring! My favorite part of the story is not that Mr. Ornee completed this incredible feat so late in the “swimming” season, but that he “experienced overwhelming joy the whole way!” Even though I cannot swim with such clear athleticism as he exhibited, understand his exclamation! As I swim in the deep water, from Van’s Beach to Whaleback, my heart and mind feel like part of the lake, like we are connected and I, too, am filled with that same pure joy! Congrats!
