I think redeveloping the land into attractive housing is a great idea.
I never understood why the commercial usage across the river from nice homes was allowed to be such an eyesore. They were not a good neighbor with the way they left rusty equipment around and rubble next to the river.
Including the affordable housing in the plan is something that needs to be considered throughout the area. All of the employers know that it is hard to get workers if they can’t afford to stay nearby during the busy season.
Are they adding slips or just improving the ones that are there?
Adding more would stress an already tight area.
As long as the slips are not used by rental boats it could be manageable.
