And here you are, after several moves around the world, back where you began in the Grand Traverse area! Wonderful story. Thanks for sharing — and for reminding us that our country has suffered other Pandemics and that many lived to write and tell about them. It is interesting to note that the technology of prevention and cure has changed. But what has not changed is 1) Quarantine is still and always the best weapon we have to fight disease and stay healthy, and 2) those who can not quarantine, or DO NOT choose to quarantine are at greatest risk, and 3) many do die, but not many of our friends who keep the vigil. Light your grandmother candle often during these next difficult weeks and remember the good parts of life!
