Well, Marshall, I am from Detroit. I grew up in a diverse and wonderful neighborhood. We were neither rich nor very poor, just somewhere in the middle. I celebrated my 50th high school reunion a couple of years ago and it was a love fest, we all felt as close as we did in school. We were friends with Hispanic, Chinese, Black, Arabic and white people. I am glad I grew up where I did, in the time period I did. I feel that people who have always lived here have missed the joy of that diversity. It’s a part of my I’m grateful for. Please put me on the list of people that want to help to end racism in our area.
