Comment on Leelanau residents move to bounce racist road commissioner Tom Eckerle by F Josephine Arrowood

Tom Eckerle needs to go. After reading of his racist rant and continuing belligerant stance, I’m now connecting the dots on why several other other County Road commissioners have abruptly resigned in the eighteen months since Eckerle’s election in 2018.
Aside from the unacceptable (not to mention illogical) views expressed by him, the Road Commission cannot function well with such a poisonous presence wreaking havoc, endangering others with his refusal to follow COVID-19 safety protocols, and driving other board members away. I for one will be signing a petition to recall him.
