Comment on National Park faces major decisions as spotlight focuses on D.H. Day farm by gael tryles

I would like to know what is happening with the D.H. Day barn and farm property. It seems that Don Lewis has put extensive work and funds into restoring the magnificent barn. I worked with the Barn Again program in my area and I wonder how many people will afford to maintain the beautiful older barns. I haven’t seen such a magnificent as the D.H. Day barn. I hope it lives on forever. There is a great barn in my area and it was taken down,numbered piece by numbered piece and moved to the Oakland County 4-H grounds where it has been rebuilt. The interior of the barn doesn’t resemble much of the old barn. It is used for weddings sometijmes so it has lost a lot of the authenticity it should have. Please ,if you can let me know what is going on with the D.H. Day barn I would appreciate it. Thank you ,in advance, for your consideration.
