Our beach’ near Northport’ has been in the family for over 50 years. My sister still owns 100 feet on Lake Michigan. We’ve noticed, in recent years, the abundance of beach grass. What used to be mostly sand is now beach grass. When we were young my father used to try to get more beach grass using seeds and ,I think, ,transplanting some. He did the same with ,what we called ,purple sand peas. It is good to see protection from erosion. I know thw water levels will probably come up to where there is no beach at all again sometime but the beach grass might help keep the beach a little longer. Thank you for your interest and information.
