Very hard working man… except when it comes to gaining his citizenship?
The decision to come here legally is up to the federal government, not individuals who feel it’s their right to become Americans. The arrogance of these people astounds me. It’s like assuming we all have the right to win the lottery, it would be nice but it doesn’t work that way.
I was fortunate to grow up around Middle Eastern families who came to this country when I was growing up. I remember some of the proudest moments, best parties, were when a parent gained their citizenship. They were hard working business owners too. I don’t remember any protests or newspaper articles supporting immigrants who were deported in the 70’s and 80’s. Maybe this is another symptom of children who were never told no.
