Christine, that is your right. Personally, I feel that line 5 was built in accordance with existing law. From what I gather from the press and the engineers I know(including a fraternity brother who was head of the EPA’s water quality oversight for the Great Lakes), the pipeline appears to be well-maintained. If the public wants it shut down, then the public should pay for it, including a new pipeline. Have you ever looked a map of all the pipelines in the U.S. on the internet? It will stun you!
