Your article was eye-opening. I have been studying inequity in the educational community and how this perversity stems from white-middle class racist doctrine. In my last course on Community Education and
Community Relations we neglected to touch on the First Nations people. I would very much like to include the indigenous people in the literature presented in class. If you have any peer-reviewed articles on this topic please send them my way. I really loved your article and it stirred a spirit in me I haven’t felt for a while. I am a white privileged female teacher obtaining my M.A. in K-12 Leadership/Administration. Before I move into leadership I want to be as prepared as possible to fight for the equivalency of education and engagement for all community members.
