As a seasonal homeowner in Leelanau County and a summer visitor for the past 35 years, I have seen this lovely, pristine area become a summer nightmare! How can any entity improve that which is already perfect? Do we really need more “junk” shops,high priced restaurants and sloppy tourists invading the area. It’s OK for those who truly appreciate natural beauty to come and hike, swim, canoe, boat and fish here. I would think that these things are enough. Do we really need more man made”attractions?” People who like the artificial junk can go to Florida. It’s already ruined.
