The way I read Peppler’s comment in the context of the article is that the types of buyers right now are looking for vacation homes, not family homes. That’s no surprise. He’s not telling people that MC is bad, just that buyers show little interest in purchasing there right now. Should more jobs become available, I’m sure that people would find it to be a great option for a place to live. Instead of so easily taking offense or picking fights, maybe we could get back to the focus of the article.
Glen Arbor definitely needs to rethink some commercial and planning strategy, no doubt. Reggie hit the nail on the head across the board…seems like a chicken and egg situation. Which needs to come first, jobs or housing. And yes, will families even come? It’s a big commitment to move to this area as it sits right now.
